Banned for "mule" account item swapping
Is it against the EULA to transfer goods for others? (I am at work and cannot pull up any GW site but these forums on this computer) Lots of my guildies have "mule" accounts...should I stop taking their stuff and transfering it to their other account for them? I have seen posts here that "I got banned because my guildie traded me XXX linnen so I could make armor" . How about if a Guildie has plat to move from one account to another, will that get me banned as a "e-bayer" because I took $$ from that persons normal account and gave it back to them on their main account or vice-versa? With a-net on the "banned wagon" things like this are making me worried

I don't think you need to worry. If they're banning people for buying gold they'll do that by tracking money flow from banned farming bots.

no that is not a crime as far as im concerned. however i did have to have a stranger do it for me once (transfering 50k at 1k intervals) from my old account to a new one and gave him a nice chaos axe at the end for his service. its definately not a crime but doing is a risk for you in that you might be scamed.

but what if the guildie bought the item or the gold...they siad earlier they banned accts that traded for duped items so would they ban accounts for "moving" e-bayed items? In my case it doesn't matter because I will not be doing this any more for anyone, but it is something for everyone to think about.....I don't think ppl in my guild would buy stuff but hey I also don't know for sure so I am not going to risk my 2200+ hrs work...just sucks that it has come to that, I mean we as players should not be held responsable for others doing "illegal" stuff like that. Same as if you traded a rare mini for a stack of those armbrace thingys, you should not be banned because they duped those items since you did not do anything wrong but make a great trade

My officers and I do this often if we need to exchange stuff from one account to another. How else are you suppose to do it especially if that account doesn't need it?We mostly do it at the guild hall though try secluded location.

Don't risk the items/gold, just install the program that lets you run 2 builds of Guild Wars and do it yourself
The program is virus/keylogger free. |

Call me an old cynic if you like but I think this is another one of those...
"can i obtain things by breaking the rules and transfer them to another account with the security if knowing that only the first account could ever get banned" ...questions! |

I'm too lazy to look it up but it wasn't just trading stuff for no gold. It's probably currently within the first three pages of Riverside if anyone cares to find it. At the least it is no more than a few days old. I know some got their accounts back and I think this quote is from one that did (and in fact didn't really know what happened until reading the forums - just knew that some other guild members were gone). |

Here is the story posted by one of OhNo's members who got their account back. Apparently one of them accepted a large number of duped items and that person was then generous with his guildies causing a lot of them to be banned. |

No you wont get banned.
I have stored hundreds of plat on my account for guildies. I have transfered items / plat / ecto etc. from my account to a guildies / friends account to another account of mine. I have helped guildies / friends transfer items / plat / ecto etc. None of which have resulted in a ban. I have never heard of a ban for any of the above either. |

I trade all the time with my wife, basically we just give each other stuff and no gold changes hands. This includes greens, golds and rare crafting materials.
Neither of us has ever gotten banned. |
